C etait pendant le Ramadan. Le mois beni ou tout semble plus proche - quand l attirance vers la foi devient impossible a ignorer. J etais assis seul dans mon appartement a Canton, loin de toute mosquee, loin de toute communaute. Pour la premiere fois de ma vie, je voulais vraiment apprendre. Non pas juste connaitre l Islam - mais apprendre a prier, a me connecter, a comprendre. J ai attrape mon telephone. J ai tape. Cherche. Clique. Une application pour les heures de priere. Une autre pour savoir comment bouger, comment me tenir debout, comment m incliner. Une video pour les mots, mise en pause, replay, interrompue par des publicites. Une autre recherche pour comprendre ce que les mots signifiaient. J ai senti quelque chose se briser en moi. C est ainsi que nous apprenons a prier maintenant ? Disperses sur des ecrans, assembles a partir de fragments, seuls ?

Cette nuit la, je me suis assis dans le calme. Le telephone brillait encore dans ma main. J ai leve les yeux par ma fenetre vers Canton. Cette ville qui construit le meilleur au monde. Des produits qui... fonctionnent. Parfaitement. Avec soin. Comme un tout. Et mon coeur a pose une question simple :
Pourquoi pas pour cela ? Pourquoi pas pour quelque chose d aussi sacre ?
A ce moment la, j ai vu clairement. Pas seulement moi - mais des millions d entre nous. A Tokyo. A Londres. Dans les petites villes a travers l Europe. De nouveaux musulmans faisant leurs premiers pas. Des familles essayant de transmettre la foi a leurs enfants. Des jeunes construisant leur vie dans des endroits ou l Islam semble lointain.
Nous apprenons tous de la meme maniere que moi. Nous meritons tous quelque chose de mieux. Quelque chose de complet.
Je suis assis a Canton. Au coeur de la fabrication mondiale. Si je ne cree pas cela, qui le fera ?
C est ainsi que Noorconnect est ne. Non pas d une entreprise. Mais d une priere qui avait besoin d une reponse.
