This Privacy Policy explains how Noorconnect Technology CO., Limited (registered office at RM D07, 8/F KAI TAK FTY BLDG NO. 99 KING FUK ST SAN PO KONG, HONG KONG) (“NoorConnect”, “Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website noorconnect.com and the NoorConnect mobile application (collectively, the “Platform”), and when you purchase or use our smart prayer mat (“Product”) and related features (“Services”).

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Platform or Services.

1.      Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

A. Information you provide

• Account information: name (if provided), email address, password or sign-in credentials, and profile preferences.
• Customer support: messages you send us and information you choose to share when requesting help.
• Order and delivery information (Product purchases): shipping address, phone number (if provided), order details and history.

Payments: Purchases on our website are processed through Shopify and/or its payment partners. We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers on our servers.

B. Information collected automatically (website and app)

• Device and technical data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type (website), app version (app), language settings, and approximate location derived from IP address.
• Usage data: basic records of how you interact with the Platform (for example, pages viewed on our website, or key app events necessary to operate the service).
• We do not use third-party in-app analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics) at this time.

C. Salah schedule and reminders

If you enable reminders, we may collect and store:

• Reminder settings: prayer/salah schedule preferences, reminder times, notification settings, and related time zone settings.

D. Product sensor processing (local only)

Our Product includes sensors that help the app provide guidance. Sensor signals are processed locally on your device to generate in-app guidance and feedback. We do not upload raw sensor readings to our servers.

Note: You can use the Product and app in different ways. Some features may require you to be logged in or to enable reminders.

2.      How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• Provide and operate the Platform and Services (account access, core app functionality, customer support, processing Product purchases, delivering orders).
• Enable reminders and scheduling features (store and apply your reminder settings and time zone).
• Maintain safety and security (prevent fraud/abuse, protect accounts, troubleshoot issues).
• Communicate with you (service notices, order updates, support responses).
• Advertising and marketing (where permitted) (see Section 5).

3.      Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

If you are located in the EEA or the UK, we process personal data under the following legal bases (as applicable):

• Contract: to provide the Platform/Services you request, fulfill Product orders, and operate your account.

We may use advertising services (for example, Meta or Google) to promote NoorConnect. This may involve:

• customer lists (e.g., email addresses) that are shared with advertising partners in a hashed/encrypted form for matching, where permitted by law.

Where required by applicable law (including in the EEA/UK), we will obtain your consent before using cookies or technologies for targeted advertising.

B. Your choices

• Cookie controls: You can manage cookie preferences through our cookie banner (where available) and your browser settings.
• Ad controls: You can also control certain ad settings through the relevant ad platform (e.g., Meta/Google) settings.
• Marketing emails: If we send marketing emails, you can opt out via the unsubscribe link. Transactional/service messages may still be sent.

6.      Cookies and Similar Technologies (Website)

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website for essential site functionality (such as shopping cart and checkout), security and fraud prevention, and remembering preferences. Our store is hosted on Shopify, and Shopify may place cookies and use similar technologies to provide e-commerce functionality and to help protect our store and customers.

Where required by applicable law (including in the EEA/UK), we use Shopify’s Customer Privacy / cookie consent tools to present a cookie banner and manage consent for non-essential cookies and targeted advertising. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

The Platform may include links to third-party sites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.
