NoorConnect seven-zone prayer posture sensing system

How NoorConnect Tracks Every Rak‘ah—Without Interrupting Salah

Salah is a sequence of intention, recitation and movement. NoorConnect is designed to recognise the movement sequence quietly, so the technology can support awareness without becoming the centre of the prayer.

Seven responsive zones

The mat uses seven pressure-sensing zones to recognise the changing contact pattern across qiyam, ruku‘, sujood and sitting. When a posture is confirmed, the system advances through the selected prayer sequence.

A personalised rak‘ah counter

Different prayers require different numbers of rak‘ahs. In the NoorConnect app, the user selects the prayer and preferred guidance. The connected mat then follows that sequence and provides local counting, which can be especially useful for worshippers who already know Salah and do not need full instruction.

Designed to keep the phone secondary

The app is used to personalise the experience, but the user does not need to keep watching the screen. Posture confirmation and local counting allow the prayer to continue naturally. Beginners can use visual and audio guidance, while experienced worshippers can choose a quieter mode.

Tracking that continues to improve

NoorConnect supports over-the-air firmware updates and evolving app content. This allows posture detection, prayer choices and learning features to improve over time while the mat remains a comfortable personal prayer mat.

Prayer tracking is an assistive feature. It is designed to support learning and personal awareness, not to replace religious knowledge or guidance from a qualified teacher.
